Current Responsibilities
Sharon Riley Wortmann serves as Managing Director within JLL's Industrial Services Group, operating from Ontario, California. Ms. Wortmann joined JLL in 2017, bringing extensive expertise from her tenure at CBRE Capital Markets, where she was an integral member of the National Partners Industrial Team based in Los Angeles, specializing in industrial asset debt placement and equity sourcing. Prior to this role, she held the position of Acquisitions Director at Colony Capital, where she developed and executed comprehensive investment strategies for the West Coast region. Her responsibilities encompassed direct equity and structured debt investments on behalf of Colony Capital REIT, multiple investment funds, and Separate Accounts, while also managing key relationships, investor relations, and asset dispositions. Ms. Wortmann's career foundation includes nearly twelve years at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, where she served as Acquisitions Director, overseeing West Coast equity investment strategy, joint ventures, development initiatives, and mortgage production. She possesses extensive joint venture expertise, encompassing both operational and ground-up development partnerships across diverse sectors, including multifamily, senior/assisted living, office, industrial, retail, commercial condominium, airport/urban parking, and student housing properties.
Experience
Ms. Wortmann's distinguished career encompasses a senior role as Director within the Capital Markets Group at Cushman & Wakefield, as well as her tenure as Vice President at Morgan Stanley, where she expertly orchestrated disposition and acquisition strategies for third-party clients and investment funds. Ms. Wortmann launched her professional journey at KPMG, serving as a real estate and hospitality consultant in Miami following her graduation from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance and a minor in International Business.
Her exceptional contributions to the industry have earned her recognition as one of California's Most Influential Women in Real Estate by Globe Street and Connect Media in their prestigious 2019 Women in Real Estate awards.
