Current Responsibilities

Matt Coursen is the U.S. Healthcare Lead for the Leasing Advisory division of JLL. He leads a team of 250 healthcare leasing specialists across the United States who represent hospitals, health systems and high-growth health networks as well as owners and investors of medical properties.

Experience

Since 2005, Mr. Coursen has advised his clients on over 1,000 real estate transactions valued in excess of $2B. His clients value him for his ability to devise sophisticated, data-driven real estate strategies, for his experience negotiating complex lease and purchase transactions, and for his commitment to their core values. Mr. Coursen believes that the key to building an effective real estate strategy is harnessing big data in a sophisticated analytics platform. Since 2018, Mr. Coursen has partnered closely with JLL Technologies to develop a proprietary data analytics software called OneMapIQ that has enabled highly effective strategies for many of the most respected healthcare organizations in the country.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Coursen is active in the Washington, DC community as a member of the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, DC and as an Ambassador to Children’s National Hospital. He also serves on the Advisory Board for multiple high growth technology companies such as Revista, TopHap, and Adonis, an AI-enabled, revenue intelligence platform that helps medical practices and hospitals improve their payment workflow.
