Grant Dettmer serves as a Vice Chairman at JLL, where he specializes in tenant representation across the dynamic San Francsico Bay Area. With his deep expertise in the life sciences sector, Grant helps biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies navigate the complex real estate landscape.

With nearly a decade of experience in one of the world’s premier life sciences hubs, Grant leverages his extensive market knowledge and industry relationships to deliver strategic real estate solutions for emerging biotech startups, established pharmaceutical companies and everything in between. His tenant-focused approach ensures clients secure facilities that not only meet their current operational needs but also provide the flexibility to scale as their organizations grow and evolve. He understands the unique requirement of life sciences tenants, including the need for specialized infrastructure, regulatory compliance considerations, and proximity to key talent pools and industry partners that make the Bay Area such a critical market for the sector.
Education and affiliations:
Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and real estate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. With his background in finance and growth startups, Grant has a unique perspective in both quantitative and qualitative aspects of corporate real estate.

Grant has been recognized as a top performer within JLL for the length of his career, and he has the distinction of being the youngest Vice Chairman in the firm's history. In his free time, Grant is an avid duck hunter and outdoor enthusiast who values time spent with family. He is a dedicated father to three young children.
