About

For more than fifteen years, Doug has provided a range of consulting and valuation services for both private and public sector clients.

He leads the Industrial Practice Group on a national basis, and his industrial experience covers a wide range of property types such as distribution warehouses, manufacturing buildings, cold storage, cross-docks, self-storage assets, industrial land, and has experience dealing with various leasehold structures.

His career has focused primarily on the valuation of institutional quality commercial real estate for pension funds, REITs, private investors, and developers. Despite being the industrial practice group lead, his experience is broad-based across all of the traditional assets classes (industrial, office, retail, multi-residential, development land) with a focus on larger scale income producing assets.

Prior to joining JLL, Doug was a Senior Director at Altus Group, a global commercial real estate advisory firm where he helped manage the Valuation and Advisory Division in Vancouver.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. He completed the Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation from the University of British Columbia and earned his AACI designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
