Current Responsibilities & Experience

Doug is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head in the Austin and San Antonio office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. Doug co-founded the Austin office for HFF in 2011 where he grew the team from 2 people to over 45 today including 21 producers. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition in 2019 and has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets. Since joining the firm, Doug has completed nearly $20 billion in transactions.

Throughout his career, Doug has led several key initiatives both locally and nationally. While running the Austin office, for several years he also led and rebuilt JLL's National Student Housing practice from the ground up, leading the team through several Billion in transactions serving during a critical period that established the team which today is one of the top teams in the industry. Having served on the national Leadership Team for over 15 years, today Doug is primarily responsible for leading the capital markets team for the Austin and San Antonio markets. His personal production includes originating debt and equity transactions throughout the United States, guiding strategy and execution across multiple property types including multi-housing, student housing, office, retail, hotel, condominium, mixed-use, and luxury residential.
