About

Adam Matthews is a Vice President at JLL who brings a rare and comprehensive perspective to commercial real estate—one built from the ground up. Starting his career at Hitt Contracting running interior fit-outs, Adam moved to Jacobs Engineering, where he designed mission-critical data centers, central utility plants, and complex MEP systems for federal clients globally. He then spent a decade in JLL's Project & Development Services practice as an owner's representative, managing over $1.5B in capital programs across 4.2M square feet—from hotel repositionings to Trophy office headquarters relocations.

Now in brokerage, Adam leverages this technical foundation to serve both private-sector clients and public sector, holding one of the industry's few TS/SCI security clearances. Whether negotiating a multi-million dollar office acquisition, steering a build-to-suit development, a short-term lease renewal, or evaluating building systems capacity during due diligence, Adam translates engineering precision into transaction velocity. A lformer licensed Professional Engineer (VA, FL), a LEED accredited professional, and a University of Virginia graduate, Adam is the advisor clients call when the deal requires more than market knowledge—it requires someone who understands how buildings actually work.
