Simon Peacock
Head of Strategic Clients & UK Regions
About
Simon grew up just outside Cambridge, studied Geography, Economics, Computer Science and History, before going to Reading University to study Building Surveying. He joined Erdman Lewis in London as a graduate, qualifying with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Simon increasingly focussed on Project Management managing large constuction projects and developments for clients. After 6 years in London he took a year out to travel overseas, working in Sydney as a surveyor, before returning and moving to Bristol to focus on larger new build client projects.
He then led and grew the Project Management team in Bristol, working on a wide range of significant new build and refusbishment projects in the Education, Office, Living and Leisure sectors. Simon evolved through this close work with specialist teams, developers and investors to take a more active role in commercial development and he spent a number of years as chairman of the SW British Council of Offices.
In 2017 he was asked to lead the Bristol office and South West region - responsible for 180 colleagues, 3 offices and 14 different specialisms. This expanded to leading our UK Regional business in 2021. This role involves close working with his regional leads across the UK, our national business lines and membership of the UK Board. In 2023 Simon took on the Head of Clients role which includes a focus on our national and regional client account programmes and fostering long term partnerships with our investor and occupier clients. He is a Board sponsor for our ethnical under-represented colleagues working with our Race for Change group and uses his role to support positive change.
These leadership roles provide Simon with an excellent oversight of the market, business, clients and the future trends affecting real estate and our communities – from regeneration, reuse vs new build, embodied carbon, circular economy and viable sustainability; to creating opportunties in our changing post covid cities, the adoption of proptech to solve our challenges and driving inclusivity into our traditional industry.
Crucially Simon see’s the successful adoption of commercial sustainability and technology as critical to his clients success over the next decade and he is keen to bring the best JLL research, innovation and partnerships to support this change.
