Current Position

Mathieu Opsomer has served as Head of Industrial &Logistics Leasing at JLL Belux since 2021. In this role, he leads the leasing activities for industrial and logistics properties across Belgium and Luxembourg, connecting clients with optimal space solutions. He manages the Agency team with 9 persons based in Brussels, Antwerp and Luxembourg.

Expertise

With over a decade of specialized experience, Mathieu has developed deep expertise in the industrial and logistics real estate sectors. He manages client relationships, oversees market opportunities, and navigates complex leasing transactions throughout the Belux region. His comprehensive understanding of regional market dynamics enables him to deliver strategic solutions tailored to client needs.

In his day-to-day responsibilities, Mathieu interacts with a diverse range of clients, including local, national and international end-users(production and logistics), developers, investors, as well as asset managers. He has also developed strong relationships with (local) governmental institutes and prominent family offices.

Previous experiences

Prior to his current role, Mathieu built his real estate foundation at King Sturge (2006) where he gained valuable industry knowledge and developed his professional skillset in commercial property services.

Mathieu started his career in 2006 at King Sturge as Junior Negotiator Industrial Real Estate in the Antwerp Office. As from 2008 he became Negotiator and Senior Negotiator in 2011.

Following the merger of King Sturge and JLL in 2011, Mathieu became a member of the Belgian Industrial & Logistics Agency team as Key Account Manager. As from 2013, Mathieu was an Associate Director of JLL.

Education

Mathieu holds a bachelor in Business Management, Option Marketing-Languages, Belgium, KH Leuven.
