Mr. Meisel leads institutional-grade investment advisory and equity placement transactions across the Washington, DC Metro area as Senior Managing Director in JLL Capital Markets, Americas, specializing in office properties and complex investment strategies for high-value assets.
Experience
Mr. Meisel boasts over 35 years of commercial real estate expertise, with a proven track record of success. He's completed more than 275 transactions since joining HFF in 2007, now part of JLL, and successfully served as Washington, DC Co-Office Head for nine years, concluding in 2022. Jim previously held key roles at GVA Advantis as Executive Director in the Investment Services Group, and as a partner at Morris McNair & Associates, Inc., and directed acquisitions for six years at Realty Investment Company, Inc.
Career Summary
Jim is a Senior Managing Director in the Washington, DC office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience. Jim was the DC Office Co-Head from 2013 - 2021, overseeing the successful JLL merger integration in 2019. Jim is primarily responsible for investment advisory and equity placement transactions throughout the Washington, DC Metro.
