JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group secures $111M sale of Costa Rica’s Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa

MIAMI, July 16, 2025 – JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced today the $111 million sale of Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa, Costa Rica's most iconic luxury wellness destination, located in the renowned La Fortuna region.

JLL represented the seller in the sale to Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality, Inc. (NYSE: PRSU).

The irreplaceable trophy asset spans approximately 570 acres of lush rainforest at the base of the Arenal volcano, one of the world's most popular eco-tourism destinations. The offering includes the 105-room Tabacón Hotel and the spectacular Tabacón Hot Springs, Costa Rica's largest network of naturally flowing thermal mineral springs.

The resort features luxuriously appointed guestrooms and suites crafted with rich handicrafts and furnishings by Costa Rican artisans. Accommodations range from 376-square-foot Orchid Rooms to expansive 2,530-square-foot Two-Bedroom Arenal Suites, all offering spectacular rainforest and volcano views.

The centerpiece amenity is the resort's extensive network of thermal pools and waterfalls. The property also includes a world-class open-air spa integrated with the natural surroundings, and the recently opened Choyin Rio Termal, a separately branded thermal experience designed for broader access.

The JLL Hotels & Hospitality team representing the seller included Senior Managing Director Andrew Dickey, Senior Director Maciej Polek and Vice President Derek Hayden.
