JLL secures 30,000 SF lease at Capitol Crossing
WASHINGTON, D.C., September 12, 2025 - JLL announced today the 21,000 square foot lease signing of Lewis-Burke Associates LLC to Capitol Crossing at 250 Massachusetts Avenue; the firm is set to move in the summer of 2026. In addition, existing tenant Strategic Marketing Innovations, a Washington-based government affairs firm, has expanded its lease by an additional 10,000 square feet at 200 Massachusetts Avenue.
According to JLL, leasing volume among government affairs groups is on the rise, with national lobbying spending reaching a new high of $4.4 billion in 2024 and on track to outpace that number in 2025 with federal budget appropriations, health issues and tax policy leading the lobbying agenda. These groups leased 1.3 million square feet of office space in DC in 2024, representing 60% growth in lease volume between 2023 and 2024.
