JLL invests in Charlotte office with strategic hires and promotions
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 25, 2025) — JLL announces several hires for the firm’s Charlotte office. On the Industrial team, JLL has added Vice President John Kincaid and Associate Jack Trew. On the Tenant Representation team, the firm has hired Associate Jarmere Jenkins. The hires underscore JLL's continued expansion and investment in the market.
John Kincaid brings 10 years of real estate experience to JLL. As Vice President, he will specialize in land acquisition, leasing industrial assets and representing tenants, leveraging his deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing both tenants and owners. Having grown up in Charlotte, he has a foundational understanding of market dynamics and the sector’s growth opportunities. Prior to JLL, Kincaid served as Vice President for Lee & Associates. Also new to the Charlotte Industrial team is Jack Trew, who will begin his real estate career at JLL, focusing on working with tenants and occupiers. The firm also recently promoted Maria Downs to Associate on the Industrial team.
In addition, JLL has hired Jarmere Jenkins as an Associate on the Tenant Representation team. Prior to starting his career in commercial real estate, Jenkins was a professional tennis player. Most recently, he worked on Team Coco Gauff, the third-ranked tennis player in the world, and was the hitting partner for Serena Williams. Also on Tenant Representation, MaryKate Kalinock has been promoted to Associate and Ellyn Casto was promoted to Analyst.

According to JLL research, Charlotte has experienced significant growth year-to-year. From 2014 to 2024, the city has grown by an average of 45,000 people per year – 29% of which are prime-age workers who are bringing and growing families. As job growth continues to accelerate, the finance, insurance and manufacturing sectors make up almost 33% of the country’s economic output, with manufacturing expected to increase significantly over the next decade. JLL experts predict that these fundamentals will continue to drive commercial real estate activity and investment in Charlotte.
