JLL Capital Markets welcomes Jorge Portela to the retail investment advisory team

MIAMI, Sept. 27, 2022 – JLL Capital Markets announced today that it has welcomed Senior Director Jorge Portela to its retail investment sales advisory team. Portela is based in the Miami office and reports to Senior Managing Director Danny Finkle, who co-leads the U.S. JLL Retail Capital Markets team.
After spending six years with HFF as a Director earlier in his career, Portela is returning as a member of JLL, who acquired HFF in 2019, to continue to build its retail business throughout the South Florida market.
“Jorge has been a great friend, client and partner over the past decade, and we could not be happier with the opportunity to continue to work together,” said Finkle. “Jorge is one of the most talented professionals in the industry and is very well-respected from his time with HFF and Riverstone Capital.”
In Portela’s previous time at HFF, he advised clients on over $3 billion in real estate transactions throughout the Southeastern United States as a member of the office investment sales team. After leaving HFF and prior to accepting this new role, Portela most recently served as Principal and Founder of Riverstone Capital Group, a private real estate investment firm where he led all acquisition and asset management functions at the firm and closed over $500 million in transactions. Portela earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida and received his master’s degree in Business Administration from New York University.
