JLL arranges $30.8M refinancing for Seattle extended-stay hotel

• JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group secured a five-year, $30.8 million refinancing for the 172-key Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown on behalf of Kauri Investments

• The extended-stay hotel sits directly across from the Space Needle and adjacent to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle's South Lake Union submarket, one of only six upscale extended-stay properties in downtown Seattle

• The financing provides long-term flexibility for ownership following a recent property renovation and continued strong operating performance

PHOENIX, Oct. 7, 2026 – JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced today that it arranged $30.8 million in refinancing for the Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown, a 172-key, extended-stay hotel located at 201 Fifth Ave. N in Seattle.

JLL worked on behalf of the borrower, Kauri Investments, to secure a five-year, floating-rate loan. JLL Derivatives also arranged and negotiated a novel interest-rate hedge associated with the transaction that resulted in a reduced fixed rate to achieve a desired debt service coverage target.

Developed by Kauri Investments and opened in 2015, the Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown recently completed a substantial renovation that refreshed guestrooms and common areas. The hotel features studio, den and one-bedroom suites with full kitchens, complimentary breakfast, a 24-hour fitness center, a rooftop deck and below-grade parking. The property's extended-stay format and suite configuration position it to serve both business and leisure travelers seeking longer-duration accommodations in Seattle's urban core.

Located at the base of Seattle Center within the South Lake Union and Lower Queen Anne district, the hotel sits directly across from the Space Needle and adjacent to Climate Pledge Arena. The property benefits from proximity to major employment centers, including the headquarters of leading technology companies, life sciences institutions and healthcare organizations, while also drawing demand from Seattle's tourism destinations, convention activity and year-round entertainment venues.

The hotel is operated by The Hotel Group, an affiliate of Hotel Equities, a regional hospitality management company with nearly 40 years of experience managing more than 300 properties throughout the United States and Canada. The property is also one of only two Hyatt select-service hotels in downtown Seattle.
