Rio de Janeiro's vacancy rate fell in the first quarter of 2025, reaching the lowest level in the city in the last 10 years (29.4%). The rate fell 1.6 p.p. compared to the last quarter and 5.1 p.p. compared to the same period last year.
Barra da Tijuca and Centro contributed to this result during the last quarter, with the Centro region standing out, which saw a drop of 2.5 p.p. compared to the previous quarter and 4.5 p.p. compared to the same period in 2024. The main factor for the result in the region was the expansion of public sector transactions that were already there, such as the Rio de Janeiro State Government, the Consumer Protection Department and the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor's Office.
