Reimagining workspace in the heart of LA

Downtown Los Angeles has always been more than just a location for JLL. With roots running deep in this vibrant business district, JLL's newly redesigned office at 515 Flower Street showcases how thoughtful design and leadership collaboration can transform traditional workspace into a dynamic hub for teamwork, culture and connection.

From traditional to transformational

JLL's previous office configuration featured a traditional layout with individual dedicated offices and minimal conferencing facilities, limiting opportunities for collaboration and team interaction. The space lacked the flexibility and modern amenities necessary to support JLL's evolving work culture and function effectively for employees traveling throughout Los Angeles and Southern California.

JLL partnered with its Design Solutions team, landlord Commonwealth, and architect Gensler to create a future-proof, employee-centric 2.0 workspace, addressing the need for enhanced connection, flexible work styles, and modular areas that operate for both intimate meetings and large-scale team and client events.

Design features that make a difference

Indoor-outdoor integration: The centerpiece of the office is a cutting-edge loggia that fully opens to embrace Los Angeles’ year-round sunshine, serving as a key architectural feature that seamlessly connects the interior workspace and employees to the outdoors.

Flexible configuration: Bi-fold doors and movable furniture allow the space to transform seamlessly from intimate work areas to venues for large company and client events.

Cultural connection: Environmental graphics throughout the office celebrate Los Angeles, featuring iconic landmarks like Dodger Stadium and Walt Disney Concert Hall that showcase the city’s identity while reinforcing the JLL brand.

Technology integration: Every space is equipped with the latest audio-visual capabilities, ensuring teams can collaborate efficiently whether working in person or virtually.

A new way of working

Whether commuting from nearby neighborhoods or traveling across Southern California, employees find a flexible and connected base in the new office. The upgraded design allows anyone to come in and immediately plug into a workstation, conference room, or open seating area that works for their needs. The variety of workspace options from private offices to open collaboration areas, telephone booths for focused work, and the modular terrace gives employees choice in how they work best while supporting JLL's retention and recruitment efforts.

A lasting investment in people and place

This office transformation exemplifies what can be achieved through shared vision, strategic focus, and creative partnership. It’s the result of a true collaboration between the leadership team, JLL Design Solutions, Commonwealth, and Gensler who each brought unique expertise to shape a space with purpose. Today, the office represents more than just a workplace redesign, it’s a living embodiment of JLL’s values, a showcase of design innovation and a long-term investment in its people and community. Rooted in the heart of the city, the reimagined space is a tribute to the vibrant spirit of Downtown Los Angeles, a place that JLL proudly calls home and is committed to for the future.
