As Samsung Electronics’ existing office lease approached maturity, they sought a modern, space-efficient workplace aligned with their updated corporate guidelines and standards. The new office needed to feature open plan layouts, flexible working areas, meeting rooms of various sizes, and collaborative breakout spaces to foster their evolving workplace culture and meet operational demands. Samsung engaged JLL's integrated office specialists to deliver this strategic relocation within a fast-track timeline.

JLL's tenant representatives identified the new location, negotiated favorable terms, and secured the premises. Our Project & Development Services team, comprising of interior designers, project managers, and cost managerscollaborated closely with Samsung Electronics. Acting as an integrated extension of our client’s organisation, our team managed the entire project lifecycle from concept design to fit-out and handover.

The project faced multiple complexities that intensified the already tight 7-month construction timeline, beginning with a mid-project transition from traditional delivery to Design & Build methodology during the schematic design phase.

These timeline pressures were further complicated by evolving design requirements throughout the project lifecycle, budget constraints requiring scope adjustments during fit-out construction, delays in HVAC system delivery, and contractor processing delays for schematic design packages.

Through collaborative project management and strategic coordination, JLL worked closely with Samsung Electronics and all its stakeholders to successfully navigate these challenges. Our team established open communication channels to keep everyone aligned on critical completion dates, effectively coordinated between direct procurement items and general contractor materials, and provided clear, transparent guidance on timeline and cost implications of scope changes. With regular contractor check-ins, thorough quality assurance, and ongoing design alignment, our team ensured that all project requirements were met while exceeding client expectations and maintaining high delivery standards throughout the project.
