JLL Research’s 2026 Latin America Future of Work Survey reveals a region ready to transform, but still working through the practical barriers that will shape execution. While the global future of work survey results show AI skills gaps as the leading constraint, Latin America leaders point first to regulatory complexity and specialized technical labor shortages. Download the report to see how companies across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are preparing their workplaces, portfolios and talent strategies for what comes next.
Key findings
- AI is a priority, but readiness is uneven. AI-driven workforce transformation is the top strategic priority in Latin America at 47%, yet it has the lowest readiness level among the eight scenarios evaluated.
- LatAm’s biggest barriers differ from the global picture. Regulatory and compliance complexity ranks as the top constraint at 35%, followed by specialized technical labor shortages at 33%.
- Workspace uncertainty is higher than the global average. 49% of LatAm respondents cite uncertainty around AI’s impact on workspace as a portfolio risk, compared with 40% globally.
- Investment is shifting toward smarter assets. 65% of organizations prioritize long-term strategic positioning and 64% prioritize transformational investment in corporate real estate.
Survey methodology and scope
JLL’s Global Future of Work Survey is a biennial study of corporate real estate decision-makers that has been conducted since 2011. The 2026 survey includes more than 2,200 respondents across 21 markets, with 150 participants from Latin America and significant representation of decision makers and senior executives from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. Data was collected during the first quarter of 2026, and findings reflect the economic and geopolitical environment during the survey collection period.
