The Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) March 2026 Official Cash Rate (OCR) increase to 4.10% represents policy recalibration in response to persistent inflation arising from both domestic and international cost pressures. However, unlike the aggressive 2022-2024 monetary tightening cycle that caught financial markets off-guard, commercial property yields are expected to remain stable through this adjustment. Values have already recalibrated during the previous tightening cycle, and investment markets have largely priced in higher debt costs.
