CHICAGO, Jan. 13, 2026 – JLL announced today that it has hired Craig Both as Senior Vice President, Power Origination for JLL’s Energy Advisory team. In this role, he will help expand JLL’s power origination and commercial energy advisory capabilities by supporting clients and investors as they navigate increasing energy demand, grid constraints and evolving clean energy markets.
Both brings more than 15 years of experience in renewable energy origination, structured contracting and distributed energy development, with deep expertise in solar, energy storage and corporate power procurement. His focus includes supporting large commercial and industrial energy users, data center clients and real estate portfolios facing growing power and infrastructure challenges. Both will help bridge energy strategy and execution across JLL’s real estate platform, enabling clients to move from planning to implementation.
“Craig’s appointment strengthens our ability to help clients secure and structure energy solutions in an increasingly constrained and complex market,” said Brian Rappaport, Managing Director, Commercial Energy Solutions, Energy Advisory at JLL. “His hands-on experience in power origination, distributed generation and client-focused execution brings immediate value to our platform as energy becomes a central driver of real estate strategy.”
Based in New York, Both will help lead interdisciplinary teams delivering market analysis, commercial structuring and transaction advisory services for JLL clients seeking reliable, cost-effective and sustainable energy supply and storage solutions. He will work closely with JLL’s commercial, technical and finance teams to structure on-site and off-site energy solutions, including PPAs, VPPAs and energy storage, to help clients move from strategy to execution.
Prior to joining JLL, Both served as Senior Regional Director of Origination at Madison Energy Infrastructure following nearly a decade at NextEra Energy Resources, where he led the origination, pricing and structuring of solar and energy storage projects across the Eastern United States. His experience spans behind-the-meter and front-of-the-meter projects, corporate energy procurement and long-term power contracting for commercial and utility clients.
“I’m excited to join JLL at a time when energy access, reliability and cost have become mission-critical issues for real estate owners and occupiers,” Both said. “JLL’s scale, client relationships and integrated platform create a unique opportunity to help clients move from strategy to execution as they address power constraints, sustainability goals and long-term energy risk.”
JLL’s Energy Advisory expertise spans energy auditing and engineering; project finance and supply solutions; energy modelling; project development and program management on behalf of owners and occupiers. The practice specializes in helping clients meet ambitious sustainability goals while navigating uncertain and volatile energy markets, evolving regulation and increasing consumer expectations. The team’s technical specialists provide expertise in energy sourcing, efficiency and end-use optimization, including technology integration such as EV-charging, on-site/off-site renewables, battery storage and microgrid solutions.
“Our Energy Advisory and Sustainability business has seen tremendous growth and diversification over the last few years at JLL,” said Josephine Tucker, JLL Head of Energy Advisory and Sustainability, Americas. “Between electrification, industrial reshoring and AI/data center demands, we are seeing a confluence of energy and real estate like never before. I’m thrilled to have Criag join the team at this critical juncture to help us and our clients navigate the transformation of our industry.”
