NEW YORK CITY, Jan. 5, 2026 – JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced today it has arranged refinancing for The Candler Hotel, a 265-key boutique property operated under Hilton's Curio Collection brand in downtown Atlanta's central business district, through the Peachtree Group.

The Candler Hotel occupies a prominent 17-story Beaux-Arts building at 127 Peachtree St. NE, originally constructed in 1904 by Coca-Cola magnate and former Atlanta Mayor Asa Griggs Candler. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the landmark structure served as the original headquarters for Central Bank and Trust and stood as Atlanta's tallest building for 23 years following its development.

Thornhill Companies completed the transformation of the property in 2019, converting the historic office building into a luxury hotel while preserving original architectural features including the marble lobby with authentic Tiffany rose windows, grand staircase, intricate mosaic flooring and ornate terra cotta exterior detailing.

The Candler Hotel has earned widespread recognition for its exceptional hospitality, design, and dining, including being named one of the Top 20 Curio Collection by Hilton hotels in the world by U.S. News & World Report and receiving a coveted Michelin Guide One Key, one of the industry’s highest distinctions for outstanding hotels. The hotel is also a frequent Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award honoree, earning the Top 25 Hotels in the South designation for three consecutive years. Its signature restaurant, By George, is consistently top ranked in Atlanta and recognized with TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice and OpenTable Diners’ Choice honors. Additional accolades include Hilton’s Development of the Year award and Boutique Design Magazine’s Gold Key Award for excellence in hospitality design.

The hotel's location provides proximity to Atlanta's key demand generators, including 17.3 million square feet of Class A office space within one mile, the Georgia World Congress Center, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, World of Coke, Aquarium, Center for Civil and Human Rights, State Farm Arena, AmericasMart Atlanta and is a short drive to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The Candler Hotel has become a sought-after location for the film and television industry, serving as a backdrop for feature films and episodic series. Its rare blend of historic architecture and modern design offers a visually striking and versatile setting that brings stories to life.
