Andrew Ballantyne

Andrew joined us in July 2007 and is Managing Director – NSW and the Head of Research – Australasia. He leads JLL’s NSW business and manages the largest and most diverse property research team in Australasia.

The NSW business has approximately 1,400 professionals covering Capital Markets, Markets and Work Dynamics. Andrew is responsible for business strategy, client engagement, operations and talent leadership.

The Australasian Research team has 25 professionals covering commercial, residential and alternatives real estate sectors. JLL Research offers the most comprehensive Research subscription service in Australia – the Real Estate Intelligence Service (REIS). Established in 1988, the REIS product has the longest time series of property market indicators across the office, retail and industrial sectors. Andrew is also the Executive Sponsor of our Client Plus programme in Australia, with the responsibility to support our growth and client engagement strategies.

Experience

Andrew is an experienced real estate professional with over 20 years’ experience across the real estate, management consultancy and logistics industry sectors. He holds an MBA from Durham University Business School, an MA in Applied Research and a BA (Hons) in Business Economics.

Andrew is a well-respected professional in the real estate sector. He is widely quoted in the media and presents at industry events hosted by the Property Council of Australia, Australia Property Institute and Construction Forecasting Council. Andrew is also involved with several universities and has guest lectured at the University of New South Wales, the University of Melbourne and the Royal Institute of Technology (RMIT).
