The Announcement
CHICAGO, Oct. 19, 2026 – JLL (NYSE: JLL) today announced that it has hired Patrick Miller as the new Global President for its Technology sector. In his new role, Miller oversees strategic account management and the delivery of customized real estate management solutions that help technology companies worldwide navigate evolving business and workplace needs through data-driven insights.
The Technology sector advises a broad range of tech companies, from software developers and semiconductor manufacturers to high-growth startups and global enterprises, on how to plan, manage and optimize their workplaces and facilities. Miller now oversees a team of more than 8,300 experts delivering integrated facilities management and workplace solutions that help technology clients improve business performance while enhancing the experience of employees and visitors across their offices, R&D facilities and manufacturing sites.
“Innovation is reshaping every aspect of the technology industry, creating new opportunities as well as new complexities for business leaders,” said Sanjay Rishi, CEO, Work Dynamics Americas and Head of Global Industries. “Patrick possesses a powerful combination of industry expertise, strategic vision and deep understanding of how technology can drive better business outcomes. His ability to connect emerging technologies with business priorities will strengthen our position as a trusted advisor to the technology sector, and his leadership will help our clients navigate change with confidence and position their organizations for sustained success in a rapidly evolving environment.”
Miller brings nearly 20 years of innovation-focused, global real estate and workplace leadership experience with him to JLL. Most recently, he was the global lead for Snap Inc.’s Workplace Services team where he was responsible for managing Snap’s global real estate portfolio. He previously managed real estate strategy, transactions, design and construction and operation for Amazon’s Puget Sound Headquarters, as well as serving as Meta’s real estate and facilities lead in the Americas. He began his career in Shanghai with DTZ, specializing in site selection and industrial real estate in China, and working with multi-national clients on their portfolios across the APAC region.
His appointment comes as technology companies reevaluate portfolio strategies amid rapid AI adoption, evolving workplace models and increasing pressure to align real estate investments with business performance. According to JLL’s Future of Work Survey, while technology organizations are the most AI-advanced industry, the sector faces a critical execution gap: while 83.6% are modeling AI’s portfolio implications, only 42.8% have funded that work, demonstrating that being further along the adoption curve hasn’t translated to converting analysis into action. The industry also confronts a skills shortage that now outranks budget as the top barrier to transformation, with 41.8% citing AI and analytics skills gaps as a primary constraint.
“The pace of change facing technology companies is unprecedented right now, with fundamentally different real estate challenges than even two years ago,” Miller said. “The question is not whether AI will shape real estate portfolios, but how quickly they can adapt to structure data and align workflows that have been established for years. To really unlock the value AI can bring to real estate, companies will have to relook at some of its fundamental processes and metrics. I’m excited to help JLL clients to move from AI adoption to driving measurable results. The organizations that are open to this transformation, we be able to successfully connect AI insights to workplace strategy, operations and programs to provide an amazing employee experience and durable competitive advantage.”
