The award, contested for the first time in 2023, recognises JLL’s excellence and innovation in delivering valuation advisory services to clients across the country, demonstrating the high level of achievement and successful outcomes the Value and Risk Advisory team worked towards.
Over the past year, JLL has consistently showcased the Value and Risk Advisory team’s end-to-end capabilities from providing accurate and timely valuation reports, through to strategic advice around sales and leasing projects that align with clients’ property objectives.
A particular highlight of JLL’s success that led to the team receiving this award was the Northlands Shopping Centre valuation. The significant asset in Northcote, Christchurch, was affected by seismic issues and a key tenant exiting their lease. JLL’s project team considered all scenarios and advised the client on the best acquisition approach and future strategy for the asset to enable them to position themselves for success.
JLL’s work on the Northlands Shopping Centre project led the same client to approach the Value and Risk Advisory team to work on its wider portfolios. JLL subsequently provided valuation reports for office, industrial, and retail properties across New Zealand, drawing on expertise from valuers across the business in these specific market segments to ensure accuracy and provide a reliable set of reports to give the most rounded, appropriate advice to the client.
