Auckland, September 24, 2026 – JLL New Zealand today announced the appointment of Damon Pere as Head of Value and Risk Advisory. Pere returns to New Zealand after six years with JLL in London, bringing extensive international experience and strategic leadership expertise to strengthen JLL's advisory capabilities across the country.
Most recently serving as Head of UK & Northern Europe Hotels and Long Income, Value & Risk Advisory at JLL, Pere has demonstrated exceptional leadership in building and scaling valuation services. During his five and a half years with JLL UK, he led significant growth in the valuation business while expanding his team to meet increasing client demand.
Pere's experience encompasses some of Europe's most complex and high-value transactions, including advising on major hotel acquisitions and refinancing mandates for leading international financial institutions, as well as providing valuation services for some of London's most prestigious luxury hotels.
Prior to his UK tenure, Pere established his career in New Zealand's commercial property sector, gaining experience across valuations, operator selection, and capital markets.
In his new role, Pere will lead the strategic development and operational delivery of JLL's Value and Risk Advisory services across New Zealand. His priorities include expanding capabilities in specialist Operational Real Estate sectors while maintaining JLL's reputation for excellence in traditional valuation services.
"The New Zealand real estate market is becoming increasingly complex, with investors needing to consider factors like ESG metrics, climate resilience, and technological disruption alongside traditional valuation criteria," says Pere. "I'm excited to bring insights from international markets while learning from our exceptional team here. My focus will be on supporting our talented professionals and delivering innovative solutions that meet our clients' evolving needs."
Pere's appointment reflects JLL's continued investment in its advisory capabilities and commitment to delivering world-class expertise to New Zealand clients navigating an increasingly sophisticated real estate environment.
