JLL announces Western Sydney office relocation, focused on business growth

SYDNEY, 29 September 2021 – JLL is pleased to announce the next step in its office evolution, with the relocation of the Western Sydney office to prime-grade office space in Parramatta – at the recently completed 32 Smith development – owned, developed and operated by The GPT Group.
Poised at the Gateway to the Parramatta CBD, JLL will occupy 1,000 square metres of space on level 12, nearly doubling the size of its current footprint in Western Sydney. The workspace will amalgamate the best in design, technology, sustainability and amenity, as well as featuring natural light and expansive views over the Parramatta River. JLL has had an established presence and office in Parramatta for 50 years.
Designing and delivering the space, JLL’s Project Management team (PDS) are managing the process from conception to completion, providing a fit-for-purpose workspace that supports best work practices and well-being for JLL’s people. Featuring the latest technology in the workspace ensures a seamless experience for JLL’s Western Sydney team and its clients.

Head of JLL’s Parramatta Office and Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency - Australia, Peter Blade said, “By increasing the size of our office footprint in Western Sydney from 600 to 1000 sqm gives us space to grow the core businesses and support a locally based growing workforce. With the aim of doubling the headcount in Western Sydney over time, the new office space has been designed as a hub of connectivity with the potential to further grow the team.
“The new office space shows our commitment to our people and the growth of our business in Western Sydney. The move is reflective of the strong growth and increased local presence we have experienced in the past 12 months, particularly for the industrial and logistics sector.

Owned, developed and operated by The GPT Group and designed by renowned architects Fender Katsalidis, 32 Smith is a 6 Star Green Star - Designed rated A-Grade office building offering superior End of Trip facilities. The building is connected by all forms of transport and features an onsite wellness room. Sir Will Expresso and WillO Restaurant and Bar will occupy the ground floor of the building providing signature house blend beans exclusively roasted through Toby’s Estate Roasters and a modern Australian contemporary menu with Mediterranean influences.
32 Smith’s lobby is an impressive space that embodies spirit of enterprise and culture. This multifunctional space welcomes and brings people together to connect. The welcoming external area features unique carvings contributed by a collective of Darug Traditional Owners, sharing the story of Burramatta (Parramatta) — heart of the Sydney basin, depicting an important gathering place and home to many native birds, plants and wildlife like the Burra (eel).
JLL’s new office will feature shared community spaces, creativity hubs, breakout areas and flexible working areas to accommodate the changing needs of a modern workspace.
