Ben Breslau serves as JLL’s Chief Research Officer and Head of Corporate Strategy and leads JLL’s enterprise client program as part of the firm’s strategic priority to deepen client relationships with the largest and most active occupiers and investors globally.
Based in Boston, Ben chairs JLL’s Global Research Executive Board and leads a 500-person Research team, providing in-depth analysis and insight into commercial real estate at macro and micro levels across markets and property types in around 100 countries. Under his leadership, JLL’s research team explores key global real estate trends, including the Future of Work, Urbanization, Capital Flows, Technology, Demographics and Sustainability.
Ben leads JLL’s Corporate Strategy capability, working closely with JLL’s Global Executive Board to develop to inform, develop, and deliver enterprise strategies that position JLL for profitable growth. In this part of his role, he led the development of JLL’s long-term enterprise strategy, Accelerate 2030.
With 28 years of experience in commercial real estate, Ben has worked across almost every aspect of real estate economics, property research, and strategy within JLL and in the industry. Ben leads JLL’s partnership with the MIT Center for Real Estate, collaborating on MIT’s Real Estate Transformation Lab. He is a frequent expert speaker and an active member of leading industry organizations, including the Urban Land Institute. In 2021, Ben co-authored The Workplace You Need Now, a comprehensive guide to the post-pandemic workplace transformation.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and is an avid supporter of Boston sports teams. Every summer, he participates in the Pan-Mass Challenge, a 200-mile bike-a-thon that raises funds for cancer research.
He holds a degree in economics from Emory University.
