The hotel sector in Zurich continues to show positive performance figures for the first half of 2026. However, following a prolonged period of growth, this year is likely to mark the peak.

The same applies to city tourism in Switzerland, which could see a slight decline in 2026. According to BAK Economics, a slight recovery is nevertheless possible next year.

Overall, the market remains dynamic. Existing establishments are being refurbished and upgraded, a well-known hotel has been sold, and new brands are venturing into the Zurich hotel market.
