Highlights of the report:

  • Warehouse demand saw a further slowdown in growth in H1 2024 as manufacturers maintained a cautious approach in expanding storage space amidst increasing costs.

  • Two (2) warehouses were completed in H1 2024, E-Metro Logistics Park Metrohub 2, contributing 800,000 s.f. of warehouse space to the market and Atrium Shah Alam 4, contributing 338,417 s.f. to the market. As we understand it, most tenants within the spaces are e-commerce, FMCG and 3PL companies.

  • International players continue to expand into the Malaysian market amidst the ongoing trend of supply chain diversification with the China Plus One Strategy.
