Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
I have observed and learned from so many throughout my adult life and career, I am having a hard time pinpointing just one. I have been very fortunate in that regard. There were different revelations at different stages of my life. As time goes by, little by little, it has helped me shape the authenticity that belongs to me and find the values that I have strong conviction for.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
I hold myself to a high standard, and that seems to have a positive influence on the people around me. It makes you take immense pride in your work and propels you to greater heights you didn’t know you are capable of. One of my favorite quotes is from Eleanor Roosevelt, who said, “A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water.”
Why does inclusion matter to you?
I like to think that we should treat people the way we want to be treated, and we are stronger as a team, as a platform. Inclusion of talents provide for a comprehensive, rounded and multi-faceted perspective that is hard to achieve by one single individual. Together, “we” are stronger than “I”. It is a powerful thing to do and stretch our world beyond our own imagination.
