Cleavon Tan

Current Responsibilities

Cleavon is a seasoned hospitality real estate professional with over 12 years’ experience in the industry in Asia and EMEA. In his current capacity as Senior Vice President within the Singapore Advisory & Asset Management team, Cleavon is primarily involved with buyside, valuation and strategic consulting work in Southeast Asia, Japan and the Indian Ocean.

Experience

Based in Singapore, Cleavon joined the Asia Pacific hotels team in January 2015 and has since been responsible for delivery of strategic advisory assignments and buyside work on a number of hotel properties, from budget to luxury hotels across regions in Asia including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Maldives.

He has carried out valuation and advisory assignments for clients including GIC, Frasers Hospitality Trust, UOL, Pontiac Land Group, Amanresorts, and Mandarin Oriental. He has significant experience in the wider Asia region, having done commercial due diligence work on the Seibu portfolio on behalf of GIC as well as portfolio valuations for the wider GIC hospitality assets. He has also led other hotel market study and commercial DD work in SEA including Indonesia with other international private equity and institutional capital groups, assisting with their market sensing and asset underwriting.

Education and Affiliations

Cleavon completed a four-year Bachelor of Business Management degree at Singapore Management University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is also a Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
