The hotel sector in Geneva recorded a slight decline in room occupancy in the first half of 2026. Conversely, average room rates rose and RevPAR increased accordingly.
Various hotels are renovating their premises, and the expansion plans of several international chains are moving forward.
City tourism in Switzerland could see a slight decline in 2026. According to BAK Economics, however, a slight recovery is possible next year.
