Sam Schaefer is the CEO of Property Management at JLL and sits on JLL’s Real Estate Management Services Board. Based in Boston, he oversees the full spectrum of Property Management services globally. Sam leads a team of experts around the world to seamlessly deliver superior value to clients, while also enabling the team to increase efficiencies, foster talent development and unlock growth opportunities for the business.
Sam brings decades of industry experience to JLL. Most recently Sam was Principal and Market Leader at the Trammell Crow Company’s Boston office where he oversaw all development and acquisition projects for the local team. Sam previously served as President and CEO for Hobbs Brook Real Estate and prior to that served in several regional and global roles at Tishman Speyer during his 19-year tenure with the firm, including Managing Director, Global Head of Leasing & Corporate Outreach and Global Head of Property Management. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University.
Outside of JLL, Sam is an avid non-profit volunteer and athlete—competing in marathons and cycling competitions, and spending time on the water with his family.
