Alex Barnes is Co-CEO, Greater China, and Cluster Lead, Southeast Asia and Korea. He is responsible for driving client-first strategies, enhancing business growth and strengthening JLL's market leadership across these key markets.
Alex plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, guided by the belief that exceptional outcomes begin with people. He leverages his expertise in complex transaction advisory and occupier services, ensuring clients receive industry-leading solutions.
With over 20 years of experience in Hong Kong's commercial real estate sector, Alex has built strong relationships with occupiers, investors, and developers, advising on large-scale transactions. His market expertise and trusted advisory approach have made him a respected figure within the real estate and corporate community.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Alex is engaged in industry and community organizations. He is a past member of The Women's Foundation (TWF) Male Allies Leadership Council, and a current Board Member of Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong. A passionate sports enthusiast, Alex applies the same teamwork philosophy from competitive sports to his leadership approach.
