JLL announced today that Matt Dawson MBE has joined JLL as Executive Director, Strategic Clients, leveraging his extensive business development and client engagement experience to strengthen JLL's relationships with high-value clients.
Best known for his pivotal role in England's 2003 Rugby World Cup victory, Dawson has subsequently transitioned from sports into business and media. Since 2010, he served as an ambassador for food services and facilities management company, Sodexo, where he worked across multiple business segments, supporting client engagement initiatives and promoting health and wellbeing across the UK and Ireland. With 15 years’ experience of working in the real estate sector, Dawson has also enjoyed a successful tenure as a Strategic Sales Consultant with The Instant Office Group.
"Matt's exceptional ability to build and nurture relationships at the highest levels makes him an invaluable addition to our team," said Sue Asprey Price CEO EMEA Work Dynamics and Global Head of Portfolio Services. "His track record of connecting with C-suite executives and his strategic mindset align perfectly with our commitment to delivering unparalleled value to our clients."
In his new role, the former England captain will develop and execute account strategies for JLL's portfolio of high-value clients, build C-suite level relationships with key decision-makers and identify cross-selling opportunities within JLL's comprehensive service portfolio across EMEA. A key part of the newly created role will focus on providing strategic insights on market dynamics and client feedback to shape JLL’s business strategy in the region. Based in London, Dawson will join the EMEA Work Dynamics Board and report directly to Sue Asprey Price.
"I'm thrilled to join JLL at such an exciting time for the real estate industry," said Dawson. "Throughout my career, both in business and in sport, I've seen how strong relationships built on trust and mutual value navigate adversity and drive success. I look forward to working with the team to exceed client expectations and drive growth."
Beyond his sporting career, Dawson has established himself as a versatile media personality, serving as team captain on BBC's 'A Question of Sport' since 2004 and as a commentator for BBC Radio Five Live. He also won Celebrity MasterChef in 2006, further demonstrating his ability to excel across diverse fields.
