JLL strengthens end-to-end data centre offering with appointment of consulting and facilities management leads

LONDON, 23 February 2023 –JLL announced today the appointment of Catriona Shearer as Data Centre Consulting Lead across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and David Harkman as Data Centre Operations Director in the UK. These newly created roles will scale JLL’s data centres facilities management (FM) offering and consulting advisory service, and strengthen the company’s end-to-end data centre solutions for clients.

Catriona will harness JLL’s global Data Centre expertise, energy and sustainability, technology, and consulting capabilities, to help investor, developer, and occupier clients deliver on their strategies across the region. She joins from Telehouse, where she was Head of Data Centre Operations. Catriona brings a wealth of experience having worked across multiple sectors in strategic management, consulting, and solutions development roles.

As Data Centre Operations Director in the UK, David will be instrumental in scaling JLL’s data centre FM pipeline in the country. He joins from Digital Realty, where he led UK Operations and brings strong experience in data centre management, information technology and services, as well as operations, facilities and contract management.

Recent JLL data highlighted that hybrid working models are driving the demand for data centres, with the growth in personal usage of social media, online gaming, and streaming applications largely accelerating this need. With that, more technology, and data storage solutions requires more additional resource to cater to this demand.
