JLL advises GroenLeven, Dutch subsidiary of BayWa r.e. on the sale of 300MW grid-connected BESS to Royal Vopak N.V. (Vopak)

JLL has advised GroenLeven, the Dutch subsidiary of BayWa r.e., on the successful sale of their first Ready-to-Build (RtB) 300MW grid-connected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the Netherlands to Royal Vopak N.V. (Vopak). This transaction highlights the strong market demand for large-scale BESS assets and underscores JLL's expertise in facilitating significant energy infrastructure deals within the European market. The sale demonstrates the continued growth and maturity of the BESS sector in the Netherlands, which has seen a flurry of activity over past last year.
