SBM Offshore's previous location in Schiedam was a towering 12-story building that created natural barriers between colleagues. This hindered collaboration and stifled innovation. As they searched for a new location, they also wanted to strengthen their value proposition for both current and future employees.

Tétris worked closely with SBM Offshore through interviews, workshops, and employee conversations. We drew inspiration from Rotterdam itself, translating the city's diverse districts into unique office areas:
 

• Neighborhoods concept – inspired by districts like Delfshaven and Kralingen – each featuring distinctive materials and atmosphere 

• Social heart as a central space connecting all neighborhoods 

• Rotterdam elements – from the Markthal inspiring our pantry design to SBM's own vessels influencing the bar area 

• Diverse workspaces – ranging from focus areas to meeting rooms and collaborative zones
