From empty spaces to dream workplaces

For Abdulrahman Aldajani, there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of seeing an empty shell transform into a workspace where people love to come to work. As a Senior Project Manager with JLL's Project & Development Services team in Saudi Arabia, he gets to be part of that magic every day.

"I manage projects from inception through to handover, developing comprehensive project plans, overseeing budgets, and maintaining quality standards," Abdulrahman explains. But for him, it's really about the people—building relationships with clients and understanding what they truly need from their new space.

When Abdulrahman was looking for his next career move, JLL's reputation spoke for itself. "JLL truly stands out as a global leader in commercial real estate, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be part of such an esteemed organization!" he says with excitement.

What really won him over was seeing how JLL does it all—from investment sales to leasing and property management to the project delivery work he loves. It means he can tap into expertise from across the company to give clients exactly what they need.

Ask Abdulrahman about his favorite projects, and his enthusiasm is infectious. There was the massive 6,000 square meter government office fit-out that came with its fair share of puzzles to solve—including figuring out how to retrofit a connecting staircase across four floors. "This project truly enhanced my project management and development skills as well as enhancing communications with the client team and project wide stakeholders," he says, clearly proud of how the team pulled it together

But the project closest to his heart? JLL's own new Regional Headquarters in KAFD. Completed at the end of 2024, it was a chance to practice what they preach. "We managed to deliver this ambitious project on time and within budget!" he beams. The opening ceremony, with Christian Ulbrich and the whole JLL leadership team celebrating together, felt like a family reunion.

For Abdulrahman, what makes JLL special isn't just the cutting-edge technology or data insights—though those certainly help. "It's a fantastic place to work because the atmosphere encourages empowerment and teamwork, striking a balance between taking ownership of your tasks and considering different viewpoints," he explains

It's that collaborative spirit that gets him excited about coming to work, especially as Saudi Arabia continues its incredible transformation. Every project is a chance to be part of something bigger.
