As Senior Director in the Retail Capital Markets EMEA team based in London, Neil provides expert investment advice across European retail markets. He specializes in shopping center investment transactions throughout Europe, with particular expertise in cross-border joint venture arrangements and portfolio deals. Neil works with market-leading retail and office investors across the continent, leveraging his pan-European experience to advise on complex, high-value retail acquisitions and disposals.
Neil Lipscomb is a retail and commercial property expert with over 30 years of experience across European markets. Since joining JLL in 1994 and the ERCM team in 2002, he has advised on retail and office transactions across 14 European countries including Poland, Austria, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Croatia. From 2006 to 2009, Neil was based in Vienna, specializing in shopping center investment across Austria and the SEE region. His notable transactions include the €750m SES-Allianz JV Senza Confini portfolio (7 shopping centers across Austria, Italy and Slovenia), pan-European advisory for Central Group on the acquisition of Selfridges, Brown Thomas and de Bijenkorf, and numerous joint venture transactions including Metropole for Commerz Real/URW and Europark in Prague. Neil has worked with prominent clients such as Allianz, SES, ECE, Union Investment, Commerz Real, DWS, AXA, Deka, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs and Rockspring. Neil holds a BSc Estate Management (Hons) from Thames Polytechnic and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
