MONTREAL, Nov. 18, 2025 – JLL's Hotels & Hospitality Group announced today that Louis Barruel has joined the firm as Senior Vice President within its Hotels’ Asset Management division. Based in JLL's Montreal office, Barruel will report to Executive Vice President Katie Krieger and focus on client service delivery and portfolio growth throughout Canada.
"Louis brings extensive Canadian market expertise and a deep understanding of the hospitality sector that makes him an invaluable addition to our team," said Krieger. "His proven track record will significantly enhance our client service capabilities across Canada, a key growth region for our hospitality advisory service platforms."
Barruel brings 14 years of comprehensive hospitality experience, having held senior positions at leading firms including HVS Consulting & Valuation, InnVest Hotels, Carbonleo and Artifact Group. His portfolio management experience spans coast to coast across Canada, covering all hotel segments from economy to luxury full-service mixed-use developments. Notable career highlights include asset management of InnVest Hotel's 4,127-room Comfort Inn and 3,218-room Western Luxury portfolios, leading the Four Seasons Montreal Hotel & Residences through opening and stabilization, and managing Artifact Group's 1,600-room portfolio over the past two years. His expertise encompasses market and feasibility studies, valuations, asset management, acquisitions and transaction management and hotel operations leadership across both managed and franchised properties.

Barruel holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
