"There are many mottoes that I live by, but atop that list is to "lift as I climb." I've always believed in the importance of using my resources to help others whenever I can, and this award is a manifestation of just that. In the face of rising tuition costs and economic downturn, this award has been crucial in alleviating financial stress and allowing me to focus my time on supporting both my school and local community. As I continue my education, and plan to graduate in 2025, JLL's recognition of Black students in business encourages me to embrace its values and use business as a force for good. The mountain may be steep, but the climb will be worth it, thank you JLL!"
In addition to the JLL Award for Black Students, the company is resolute to support and advocate for the respect and inclusion of all through its Black Professionals Network.
“We are incredibly proud of Kachi and congratulate her on her achievements. Celebrating and supporting talented students from all backgrounds is of utmost importance at JLL. We are honoured to help make a difference in these students’ lives and career opportunities,” said Diane Cunha, Head of HR, Markets, JLL Canada.
JLL congratulates the 2022-2023 recipient of the JLL Award for Black Students and looks forward to supporting future students.
