JLL appoints Joe Stather as Head of EMEA Hotels & Hospitality Research
JLL today announced the appointment of Joe Stather as Head of EMEA Hotels & Hospitality Research, where he will lead the firm's hospitality research service across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In this role, Joe will work closely with JLL's market-leading hotels capital markets team to deliver unique, strategic research that helps clients achieve more successful outcomes in an increasingly sophisticated and analytical hospitality market.
Joe brings extensive international real estate and hospitality market knowledge developed through more than a decade of senior-level experience. He spent over eight years at CBRE, most recently as Director advising on hotel and operational real estate, before joining Questex, a New York–headquartered information and events company, where he oversaw global expansion of the International Hospitality Investment Forum series. Most recently, as Managing Director of Horwath HTL UK, he led the UK operations of the global hospitality consulting brand.
Joe is well-recognised within the hospitality industry, having delivered numerous keynotes at major conferences and events globally, participated in panels, chaired advisory boards, and led roundtable discussions on key industry themes. His extensive experience advising and supporting institutional clients in achieving their commercial objectives, combined with both technical expertise and a creative approach, enables the delivery of insights that go beyond data to provide context, clarity, and strategy.
"Hotels and hospitality players are increasingly sophisticated and analytic in their approach, while current market cycles and capital flows demand timely, accurate, and actionable insights," said Nick Whitten, Head of UK Research & Head of EMEA Living Research at JLL. "Joe's appointment reinforces JLL's commitment to providing best-in-class research and advisory services to our hospitality clients. His deep network and knowledge of international markets, combined with his proven ability to deliver strategic value, positions him perfectly to enhance our research capabilities in the EMEA hospitality market."
