Gamma’s headquarters transformation with JLL

In today's competitive market, attracting and retaining talent requires more than just a paycheck. Gamma, a leading Benelux DIY retailer, recognized this need and sought to consolidate its Antwerp headquarters into a modern, sustainable office space that would reflect its core values.

The company envisioned an innovative, modern, and sustainable workplace where the teams could truly connect. 65 employees were spread across multiple floors, hindering collaboration. They needed a unified space to foster social interaction and a stronger sense of community.

JLL's Tenant Representation team partnered with Gamma to understand their specific needs and objectives.

Leveraging extensive tools and local market expertise, JLL identified the Greenhouse Collection, a landmark office building in Berchem that met Gamma's criteria for accessibility, sustainability, and employee comfort. The building's BREEAM Excellent certification and exceptional occupier comfort were key factors in the selection. The service offering for tenants was also a key consideration.

Gamma engaged Tétris—JLL's Design & Build department—to spearhead the design, construction, and furnishing of the new office space, resulting in an innovative and flexible workspace that reflects Gamma's dedication to collaboration.

The new Gamma headquarters features a modern design with a focus on social interaction and collaboration. A vibrant social space welcomes employees and visitors, serving as a central meeting point and event space. . “We created a social space that is located right at the entrance. This way, you immediately enter a vibrant environment when you step into the office. This space not only serves as a meeting place but also as an event space. By placing this space centrally, we stimulate those important social interactions” explains Bram De Mets, Design Director Tétris Belgium

The office also incorporates a variety of meeting rooms and flexible workspaces to accommodate different work styles.

Gamma now embraces a new approach, combining the comfort of remote work with the importance of social interactions among employees. "By creating this mix of spaces, employees can easily switch between different work styles and forms of collaboration, which benefits overall productivity and satisfaction," adds Bram De Mets
