Current Responsibilities
As an Associate in the Strategic Advisory and Asset Management division, Nicolas is responsible for helping continuing with the growth of the Mexican platform for JLL Hotel & Hospitality Group with a primary focus in Mexico. As part of the Advisory team he works in different projects including branding strategy, feasibility studies, valuations, strategic consulting and operator selections. He has more than 5 years of experience in the lodging and finance industry. 

Mr. Martinez has a strong background in finance and hospitality operations having worked in multiple hotels across Mexico, Puerto Rico and Trinidad & Tobago. Before joining JLL, Mr. Martinez held a position as Finance & Office Manager for the Shared Service Office of Hilton Worldwide in Mexico, where he led the team in charge of the growth and establishment of the office. During this time, he was responsible for overseeing the financial performance and supporting 13 properties managed by the company across the country, including financial statement consolidation and analysis of results. Prior to this role, Mr. Martinez worked for the Hilton Mexico City Reforma in the finance department, overseeing the accounting staff and finance operations. He also completed the Elevator Program, an 18 month Management Trainee Program with Hilton Worldwide in hotel operations, revenue management, sales and finance. 

Education and Affiliations
Mr. Martinez earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Finance from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and is currently finishing his Masters in Financial Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam.​
