Corporate Responsibility Magazine includes firm on annual list of “Industry Sector Best Corporate Citizens”

CHICAGO, Oct. 3, 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE:JLL), the global financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate, was recently named one of the top corporate citizens within the Financials, Insurance and Real Estate Sector in Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s second annual list of "Industry Sector Best Corporate Citizens." “A strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and ethical business practices is integral to our organization,” said Colin Dyer, Chief Executive Officer of Jones Lang LaSalle. “The most talented people want to work for, and clients want to work with, companies with integrity that they respect and trust, and that have values reflective of their own.”

CR Magazine’s “Industry Sector Best Corporate Citizens” ranks organizations from broad industry sectors based upon their transparency and performance in seven areas: climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights and philanthropy. Industry rankings were announced in the following sectors: consumer items; consumer staples; energy; financial, insurance and real estate; healthcare; information technology; materials; media and entertainment; services and utilities. The rankings were announced at the 2012 COMMIT!Forum in New York City, at which Jones Lang LaSalle Lauralee Martin participated and spoke on innovation and governance best practices.

“Jones Lang LaSalle is well known for its commitment to sustainable environmental stewardship within the real estate industry. This recognition by Corporate Responsibility Magazine transcends that—honoring the company for its still broader responsibility agenda, generally, and its pursuit and maintenance of corporate transparency, specifically,” said Dirk Olin, Editor in Chief of CR Magazine.

The “Industry Sector Best Corporate Citizens” consists of large-cap Russell 1000 companies that were identified, analyzed, scored and ranked by CR Magazine on more than 320 data points of disclosure in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance and philanthropy.
