Meet the team

JLL welcomes Long Island office market experts Eric Launer & Michael Aievoli

Jones Lang LaSalle (“JLL”) welcomes Eric Launer and Michael Aievoli as executive vice presidents with its Melville, N.Y., office. The two professionals will expand the company’s tenant representation expertise and facilitate the fulfillment of client requirements throughout the Long Island market. They will work alongside Raymond Ruiz, head of JLL’s Melville office.

Combined, Launer and Aievoli have more than 40 years of experience in all aspects of Long Island commercial real estate, specializing in tenant representation and building agency services. They have negotiated many of the largest commercial lease and sales transactions in the market.

“Eric and Michael have built an unmatched reputation as an industry leading team on Long Island,” said Ruiz. “They have been directly responsible for many of the most significant real estate transactions completed throughout the market. Eric and Michael’s knowledge of the region made them the ideal candidates to lead JLL’s efforts to continue to expand our presence on Long Island.”

“We joined JLL because of its open, collaborative culture, which is unusual in the real estate industry,” said Launer and Aievoli. “The company’s broad service platform will allow us to deliver the best results to our clients, unencumbered by the internal competition that is so prevalent in the real estate business. That will be a real competitive advantage for us on Long Island.”

Prior to joining JLL, Launer and Aievoli served as principals of the Long Island office of a major brokerage firm.

Previously, Launer was a senior executive director at a Long Island commercial brokerage firm, where he was ranked as the top producer from 1999 through 2006. Earlier, he served as a project manager for residential real estate development, and later as an associate director with another commercial real estate firm.

Launer has been responsible for more than 1 million square feet of real estate transactions throughout the New York metropolitan market. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University.

Previously, Aievoli was a senior director at a Long Island commercial brokerage firm, where he was honored as its most promising associate in his first year. He consistently ranked among the firm’s top five producers.

Aievoli has been responsible for more than 2 million square feet of real estate leasing and sale transactions throughout the New York metropolitan market. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Molloy College.
